Maiya's Big Day Out

You will never guess where I went on Thursday 14^th October. I’ll tell you where, I went to QEII and gymnastics. The whole of Year 2 went together on the bus. It was so much fun.

In the wave pool we played fish and dolphins. We swam to the lazy river then me and Samantha played tag. There were 20 parent helpers. When we got out we had some lunch at the picnic tables.

After lunch we walked to the exit. As soon as we got outside it started to rain so we had to walk fast. Finally we got in to the gym. We went up the steps, took off our shoes and went back down into the gym. First we did a little warm up. Next we got on with the games. First my group tried the bars. I was good at the flips. The next activity was the rings and you had to put your hands on the rings and put your shoulders up and legs and hold on tight. Next we went to the beam. The hard things was when you put the bean back on your back and crawled along the beam. Then we moved onto the mat activity. We did some rolls and then we lined up to go outside.

From Year 2 Big Day Out

The two buses were waiting for us. That meant we had to go back to school. The bus drove us back to school, the bell rang and then I said, “ That was the best trip ever!”
